报告摘要:
Printed electronics involves using printingtechnologies as a mass production tool to integrate electronic circuits,sensors, and wireless communication on a flexible label, making any kind ofobject interactively connected to the internet. This is the Internet ofEverything, which is expected to connect billions of electronic labels tothe internet. Powering these devices with conventional batteries presents asustainability challenge in terms of material recycling and expensivemaintenance. Today, bulky batteries are increasingly being replaced bylow-power energy harvesters (e.g., thermoelectrics, solar cells,piezoelectrics) that charge thin batteries without the need for maintenance.The technical specifications for these types of thin batteries include high cyclability,high power, green materials, low cost, and compatibility with printedtechnologies, rather than the high energy density required in other sectorssuch as mobile phones.
The greenest materials come from biomass. Lignin isof particular interest because it is an aromatic biopolymer that carriescatechol groups capable of storing charges through electrochemical reactions.First, we explore the design of lignin electrodes by compositing with carbon orconducting polymers [1-3]. Second, a new class of electrolyte operating in thewater-in-polymer salt electrolyte regime is considered to enableaqueous organic batteries with low self-discharge behavior [4-6]. Finally, weintegrate these materials into a robust and promising zinc-lignin battery [7-8].
报告人简介:
Reverant Crispin教授于2000年在比利时蒙斯大学(University ofMons)师从J.L. Brédas教授获得博士学位,研究方向为有机分子在过渡金属表面相互作用的量子化学模拟。2004年,他加入由M. Berggren教授领导的有机电子实验室,并在有机电子器件(有机二极管、晶体管、存储器)方面开展研究工作。
凭借其在热电聚合物方面的研究成果,他先后获得瑞典皇家科学院颁发的 TageErlander奖(2012)和Göran Gustafsson 奖(2016)。自2014年起,他担任瑞典林雪平大学教授,并领导有机能源材料方向的研究。2019年,他成为林雪平大学国家级项目“先进功能材料”(AdvancedFunctional Materials)的副主任。
他是三家初创公司的联合创始人及科学顾问:
Ligna Energy AB(2017),开发有机电池;
ParsNord(2020),研发柔性热电制冷器;
Cellfion AB(2021),生产用于氢电解槽和液流电池的离子选择性纤维素膜。
