围绕“植物纤维高值化和全利用”的科学问题,开展植物纤维结构基础科学研究,包括木质纤维降解与解构动力学,植物微纳米纤维素以及功能多糖高效制备原理;揭示植物纤维表/界面结构细节与特性,复合材料结构演变与性能控制规律,支撑造纸、纺织、日化等轻工领域所需高质原料的基础研究。

先后主持国家自然科学基金项目,中国博士后科学基金,广东省自然科学基金等研究课题,发表SCI收录论文70余篇,授权专利16项。

目前的研究领域:可降解纤维素基材的结构设计及制备;植物微纳米纤维素绿色制备与应用;纤维素表面功能化研究。
