Campus Introduction of Wushan Campus:
South China University of Technology Wushan Campus is one of the oldest university campuses in Guangzhou, integrating a century old cultural heritage with modern academic vitality. The campus is home to a complex of Republican buildings and natural landscapes, as well as advanced teaching facilities and living amenities. The following is an introduction from four aspects: campus characteristics, academic resources, life services, and travel guides.
The Wushan Campus is located at 381 Wushan Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, covering an area of 2.94 million square meters. It was founded in 1934 and was formerly known as the School of Engineering at National Sun Yat sen University. The campus retains a large number of red brick buildings from the Republican era, such as buildings 31-34, which adopt the Lingnan courtyard style and cleverly combine gardens and architecture, and are listed as historical protected buildings in Guangzhou. There are also iconic landscapes such as the bronze statue of Sun Yat sen and the hundred step staircase on campus, carrying the memories of the school's history.
