澳洲昆士兰科技大学Cheng Yan教授:Fabrication and characterization of carbon nanotube and graphene nanocomposites

报告摘要:
       Graphene and carbon nanotube have attracted considerable interest over recent years due to its intrinsic mechanical, thermal and electrical properties. Incorporation of small quantity of graphene fillers into polymer can create novel nanocomposites with improved structural and functional properties. In this presentation, our recent work on synthesis, characterization and numerical simulation of carbon nanotubes, graphene and their nanocomposites will be briefly introduced. The attention will be focused on the structure-property relationship in these novel materials.

 

附报告人简介:
       A/Prof. Cheng Yan is a dedicated researcher in the field of materials synthesis and mechanical characterization. His current interests include composites, nanomaterials and nanomechanics, biomaterials, solid mechanics and numerical modelling. He has secured more than A$5.5 million research funding including 2 Australian Research Council (ARC) fellowships and 12 ARC grants. He has been the committee member of Australian Fracture Group and advisory committee member of ATN-ISTA nanotechnology network.He has published 150 papers in international journals such as Scientific Reports, Nano Energy, ActaMaterialia, ScriptaMaterialia, Carbon, Applied Physics Letters, Nanotechnology, etc.
