Lecture 1：“Synthesis of Monodisperse Polymer Colloids and their Applications”which will cover the synthesis of 100-1000 nm polymer colloids by emulsion polymerization, and their end applications including photonic crystal fabrication.

Lecture 2：“Synchrotron X-ray Techniques in Polymer Characterization”which will cover XPS and NEXAFS, and the information these techniques can yield about polymer structure, especially conducting polymer structure.

       该课程是研究生全英课程《Modern Techniques in Polymer Characterization》的对口课程。

主讲人简介：
       Dr. Geoffrey Waterhouse currently is a Senior Lecturer, School of Chemical Sciences, The University of Auckland since2009. His research interests are diverse and multidisciplinary, spread across the fields of Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biology, Nanotechnology and Food Science.
