Abstract: 

In this talk, we will review recent developments in multidimensional solitons, which arise in various physical settings such as nonlinear optics, Bose-Einstein condensates, hydrodynamics, and condensed-matter physics. Particular attention will be paid to stable two- and three-dimensional solitons, including vortex solitons and other topological structures. The talk will also discuss current challenges and recent progress in this field.
