Lecture One

Title: Traveling Waves for Time-Delayed Diffusion Equations

Speaker:  Prof. Rui Huang (South China Normal University)

Time: Wed, Mar.3 2021, AM: 9:30-10:10

Location: 4318

Inviter: Prof. Huanyao Wen

Abstract:

This talk is about the traveling waves for time-delayed reaction-diffusion equations with degenerate diffusion or nonlocal dispersion term. For the degenerate case, we will show the existence of smooth and sharp type traveling waves, global existence and regularity of the Cauchy problem, and the global stability of traveling waves. While, for the nonlocal   dispersion case, we will show the stability of the monotone/non-monotone and critical/non-critical traveling waves.

Lecture Two

Title: Some Results on the Landau-Lifshitz Equation and Related Models

Speaker:  Prof. Xueke Pu (Guangzhou University)

Time: Wed, Mar.3 2021, AM: 10:10-10:50

Location: 4318

Inviter: Prof. Huanyao Wen

Abstract:

In this talk, we will introduce some results on the Landau-Lifshitz equation and related models. In particular, we will show global existence of weak solutions and local well-posedness for the fractional Landau-Lifshitz equation.

Lecture Three

Title: Global Well-posedness on a Chemotaxis System with Discontinuous Data

Speaker:  Prof. Hongyun Peng (Guangdong University of Technology)

Time: Wed, Mar.3 2021, AM: 10:50-11:30

Location: 4318

Inviter: Prof. Huanyao Wen

Abstract:

We shall present a system of conservation laws derived from the chemotaxis models describing the initiation of tumor angiogenesis. This system has been well-studied with smooth initial data. However, many interesting questions are still open for the discontinuous initial data. In   this talk, we shall present some recent results on the well-posedness of the   solutions to the chemotaxis system with the discontinuous initial data.
