Abstract:
Need for understanding dynamical procesess and its control in real-world complex systems (such as telecommunication networks, neuronal ensembles, biological dynamics, etc.) led to considering non-autonomous systems of ODE with fast random switching of parameters called blinking systems. One of the most interesting dynamical phenomena of such systems is the so called ghost attractor--an attractor of an averaged form of a blinking system, which is absent in the blinking system and its autonomous parts but defines its longterm dynamics. Ghost attractot arises when a resulting dynamics of a blinking system is qualitatively and unexpectedly differs from those of its composing autonomous parts. In this talk we consider a number of examples including a blinking nonlinear rotator, a non-autonomous 3-D piecewise-smooth Lorenz-types system with a singular-hyperbolic ghost attractor, and a blinking versions of Lorenz and Hinmarsh-Rose systems.
