Associate Dean of the School of Foreign Languages of South China University of Technology, Deputy Director of Teaching Guidance Committee of College English in Guangdong Province. He is currently the Principal Professor of the College English Teaching Team of South China University of Technology, the Head of the National College of Fine Arts Resources Sharing Program, and the Head of the Experiential Teaching Center of Experiential English (Guangdong Experiential Teaching Demonstration Center).

Graduated from Shandong Normal University, South China University of Technology, GuangDong University of Foreign Studies, and respectively obtained Bachelor, Master and PhD degrees.

In 2003, he went to Northwestern Polytechnic University in the United States to study and communicate.

During 2005-2006, working as a Visiting Scholar at Luton University, UK.

His research interests include discourse linguistics, sociolinguistics , English Teaching and Learning.

In recent years, he published nearly 20 papers, published monograph the author identity construction in Academic Papers, translated Practical Guide to Learning Tools for College Teaching and published a series of textbooks, such as College English Integrated Course. What’s more, he presided over two provincial and ministerial level teaching reform project, awarded two first prizes in South China University of Technology Teaching Achievement and two second prizes in Guangdong Province Teaching Achievement.
