Dr. Xu received his Ph.D. degree in Engineering from the University of  Wollongong, Australia. During his Ph.D. study, he moved to Prof. Liming Dai’s group at Case Western Reserve University, USA, for a half-year's visiting. He completed postdoctoral studies in Prof. Liming Dai’s group and his Ph.D.supervisors Profs. Shixue Dou & Huakun Liu’s group. Since 2017.9, he started as a group leader and professor at South China University of Technology. His research interests mainly focus on advanced materials for various types of energy storage/conversion devices and recycle of spent LIBs.
