The Sino-EU Engineering Education Platform (SEEEP) was initiated by the Chinese Ministry of Education (MoE). In September 2010, the MoE and the Consortium Linking Universities of Science and Technology for Education and Research (CLUSTER) co-signed the Memorandum of Understanding for Sino-European Engineering Education. Eighteen Chinese and twelve European universities joined the SEEEP to promote the long-term stable collaboration between institutions of engineering in China and Europe encompassing the following areas: talent cultivation, teacher training, development of pedagogic materials, and scientific research. The Secretariat for the SEEEP is set up at Tongji University in Shanghai.
