本课程对学生达到如下毕业要求有如下贡献:

  1. 使用现代工具:能够针对与计算机相关复杂工程问题,开发、选择与使用恰当的技术、资源、现代工程工具和信息技术工具,包括对复杂工程问题的预测与模拟,并能够理解其局限性。

  2. 沟通:能够就与计算机相关复杂工程问题与业界同行及社会公众进行有效沟通和交流,包括撰写报告和设计文稿、陈述发言、清晰表达或回应指令。并具备一定的国际视野,能够在跨文化背景下进行沟通和交流。

  3. 终身学习:具有自主学习和终身学习的意识,有不断学习和适应发展的能力。


课程培养学生的能力(教学目标)


在完成毕业设计后,学生将具备以下能力:

  1. 综合运用基础和专业课程的知识、理论及技术方法描述、分析、设计和解决工程问题或研究课题的能力。[1]

  2. 具备良好的沟通能力,创新能力,树立良好学术思想和学术道德。[2]

  3. 具备良好的综合素质、科学研究能力与工程实践能力以及终身学习的能力。[3]


课程简介


毕业设计是计算机科学与工程学院所有本科专业必修的集中实践课程,安排在第八学期完成。毕业设计是学生在导师指导下,开展调查研究、查阅收集文献资料、专业文献阅读翻译、系统方案设计、分析研究和实践动手以及论文撰写等工作。


教学内容与学时分配


毕业设计总周期为15周。


毕业设计包括:选题、任务书下达、论文开题报告、外文资料翻译、具体设计、毕业论文撰写、毕业论文评阅与毕业答辩等环节。要求各项文档齐全、格式规范、内容完整。


毕业设计全程遵循《华南理工大学全日制本科学生毕业设计(论文)管理办法》。

Student Outcomes

  1. Applying Modern Tools: An ability to create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

  2. Communication: An ability to communicate effectively on complex engineering problems with the engineering community and with society at large, such as being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, give and receive clear instructions, and communicate in cross-cultural contexts with international perspective.

Course Description


 Graduation Project is a compulsory practice course for all undergraduate majors in the School of Computer Science and Engineering. It is scheduled to be completed in the eighth semester. Graduation Project is a kind of work that students carry out under the guidance of their tutors. The process of Graduation Project includes: investigation and research, consulting and collecting literature, reading and translating professional literature, system design, analysis and practice, and thesis writing.


Teaching Content and Class Hours Distribution


  1. The total period of Graduation Project is 15 weeks.

  2. Graduation Project includes: topic selection, project task assignment, thesis opening report, translation of foreign language materials, specific design and implementation, thesis writing, thesis evaluation and graduation defense. All documents are required to be completed,  in standard format and as required by the University.

  3. The process and assessment of Graduation Project should follow the "South China University of Technology Full-time Undergraduate Graduation Design (Thesis) Management Measures".
