报告人简介：

张代洲，日本熊本县立大学环境共生学部教授。1983-1994年就读于北京大学地球物理系，获学士、硕士和博士学位；1994年在北京大学环境科学中心开始从事博士后研究，并留校工作；1999年在日本熊本县立大学环境共生学部开始任教。张代洲教授主要从事大气物理学、气溶胶物理和化学特性等相关研究，尤其沙尘气溶胶研究方面有多数研究成果。近些年，研究领域拓展到大气中微生物等生物气溶胶的研究，并取得多项原创结果。

报告摘要：

This talk will present the latest research activities on Asian dust andrelated topics conducted by the Laboratory of Atmospheric Environment Researchat the Prefectural University of Kumamoto, Japan. These studies were carriedout in collaboration with Chinese scientists at the eastern edge of the TenggerDesert, a coastal site in Qingdao, and a seaside site in Japan. After brieflyintroducing the environmental significance of Asian dust, the talk will focuson recent results about in the following subjects: (1) Artificial generation ofdust particles from desert surface soils and their applications; (2) Newinsights into aerosol acidification and iron solubility based on observationsin Qingdao; (3) Biological components associated with Asian dust particlesobserved in Kumamoto.
