Dr Jet-Sing Leejoined the Nature Portfolio in 2022. He is currently a Senior Editor forCommunications Materials and Consulting Editor for Nature Water but has alsomade editorial decisions for Nature, Nature Energy, and Nature Communications.Jet regularly writes research highlights on work he finds interesting from theresearch community in Nature Reviews Chemistry and Nature Reviews Materials.Jet has over 10 years of research experience before transitioning to an editor,with a Ph.D. in materials chemistry from the UK, and postdoc and researchassistant professor positions in Japan.

报告摘要：

What makes agood paper? How do I choose a journal to publish in? How do I have an impact asa researcher? All of these are valid questions from students to fully-fledgedprofessors. In this talk, I aim to give you a taste inside the mind of a NaturePortfolio editor. The Nature Portfolio publishes a wide array of research, fromour flagship journal, Nature, to Nature Research, Nature Communications,Communications Journals, and Scientific Reports. I will explain the editorialprocess, peer review, and how we make editorial decisions. Lastly, I’ll presentsome tips for preparing your manuscript, perhaps to submit your next paper tothe Nature Portfolio.
