The 2026 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2026) was held in Vienna, Austria, from June 1 to 5. As the flagship conference of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS), ICRA brought together leading researchers, industry experts, and young scholars from the global robotics and automation community to conduct in-depth exchanges on cutting-edge technologies, innovative applications, and future development trends, jointly promoting the continuous advancement and practical application of robotics technology.

At the 11th Robotic Grasping and Manipulation Competition (RGMC), held concurrently with the 2026 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2026), the MIL-Cloud team, guided by Professor Yang Cong and Teacher Yu Ren from the School of Automation, won the runner-up award in the CloudGripper track. A total of five teams participated in this track, focusing on cloud-based robotic planar pushing and deformable linear object shape control tasks. Team members Shenghan Huang, Mingwei Ma, Jiahao Long, and Jiawei Weng ranked second in the final evaluation through algorithm design, visual perception, and robotic manipulation strategies.
