In the night of May 6th, 2016, the 8th Automation Youth Month and 11th intelligent control design contest was held at the air classroom in university city campus of SCUT. The guests attending the opening ceremony included Peng Yao, deputy secretary of the Communist Youth League of School of Automation Science and Engineering, Hong Li, the Chairman of the Student Union, Vice President Lingjin Lin, Kangyin Lin and Juntao Su, Manager of Automation Innovation Base Ruiyong Xie, Haoquan Chen, Lunan Zheng.

The opening ceremony started at 7:10 in the night. Firstly, the chairman of student union Hong Li gave a speech, she introduced the origin of automation youth and activity content, and hoped that 11th Intelligent Control Design Contest will be held successfully. Then she announced the opening of the competition. Next, a video about the past intelligent control design contest was played on the spot and Peng Yao introduced the background of the competition. After that, several guests shared their experience about the way they grew up. The last part of the ceremony was questions and answers, many students raised their questions and the guests invited their answered patiently. Finally, the host announced the end of the opening ceremony of 8th Session Automation Youth and Eleventh Session Intelligent Control Design Contest .

This contest aroused the enthusiasm of the students to participate in the contest of intelligence control, and we hope that the contest will be held successfully.
