In the morning of January 14th,a lecture entitled “Terramechanics of Robots and it’s Application in Control and System Design”was held successfully on the sixth floor conference room of Building 3.The lecture was held by Professor Yuanqing-Li and the guest was professor Liang-Ding.
Professor Li introduced professor Ding to us and then start the lecture. The research direction of Ding is terramechanics of robots and it’s application.It was mainly used in rover car and legged robots.He was selected as young talents plan and basic research talent cultivation plan in Harbin Institute of Technology.He hosts sub topics of defense 973 project and postdoctoral youth excellence program of Harbin province.Firstly,Ding introduced research background of terramechanics of robots.Then,he focused on train and research result on theory about robots wheel,and mechanics experiment and models of robots wheel.Finally,he showed us the application of terramechanics of robots in lunar rover,Mars rover and so on.
Students got s deeper understanding about robots motion and its relative research through the lecture.We believed that it played a positive role in students research.
