Lecture entitled “Inherent Relationship About the Control Thought of Xuesen Qian, Zaozhi Guan and Jingqing Han” was held successfully

On the morning of December 26, 2014, an excellent academic lecture entitled “Inherent Relationship About the Control Thought of Xuesen Qian, Zaozhi Guan and Jingqing Han” was held by the School of Automation Science and Engineering in Building 3. The lecture was given by Professor Zhiqiang Gao, who is a tenured professor of Advanced Control Technology Center in the School of Engineering, Cleveland State University. His research interests include industrial control and active disturbance rejection control(ADRC). His great achievements about ADRC have broken through the bottleneck of Tuning and became a powerful tool in industrial control field.

The lecture was hosted by Prof. Hailong Pei, the vice dean of School of Automation Science and Engineering. At the beginning of this lecture, Prof. Gao looked back the history of control science by introducing feedback, the core concept of control theory. Further, he presented us the opinion of Xuesen Qian that when designing a control system we should make a continuous optimization instead of over-reliance on control model. What’s more, Prof. Gao stated the control thought of Zaozhi Guan and Jingqing Han in detail. The development of control theory could be better and better due to the great contribution of the old generation and continuous concentration of the new generation.
