On April 16, 2014, the opening ceremony of the ninth intelligent control contest was held on the campus of Guangzhou University City by School of Automation Science and Engineering. The attendees include the instructor of 2013, Mr. Ziguang Wang, the Deputy Secretary of Youth League Committee, Chenxi Ou, the Chairman of Student Union Jiasheng He, as well as other vice chairmen.

At the beginning of the opening ceremony, a video about the past contests, including achievements, site assessments, was broadcast to everybody. Later came the ribbon-cutting ceremony. And then, the subjects were released by student union officer.
