At the beginning of 2014, Ministry of Education (MOE) organized the evaluation and acceptance of the Engineering Research Center of Precision Electronic Manufacturing Equipments, South China University of Technology (SCUT). The experts listened to the report by Prof. Hu Yueming, the Director of the Engineering Research Center. The center had constructed five R&D platforms on automatic chip mounter and stick inserting machine, equipment for detecting X-ray, high-power machine of LED package, automatic optical detection equipment, automatic vision printing machine, and 3000 square meter area for national SMT test base. Several equipments had achieved world class performance. The center had made great contributions to national precision electronic manufacturing. Finally, the experts agreed that the center passed the evaluation.
