On November 9, SCUT witnessed its first homecoming day for alumni on her 61st birthday. School of Automation Science and Engineering reunited alumni from different classes together with their families. All the alumni showed great enthusiasm for the homecoming. Many alumni arrove Building 3 in the early morning to reminisce the old days. Some of the alumni visited the university history museum to learn the achievements of SCUT, some of them communicated with teachers and students of their school, and others walked around the campus to feel the changes of the university.

On the morning of homecoming day, an important meeting was held on the 6th floor in Building 3. Alumni Association of School of Automation Science and Enigeering was established beyond the joint effort between the leaders of the school and the alumni, which attracted much interest of the alumni. And all alumni showed their wishes of contribution to the school.

From this year on, the second Saturday of November was set as the homecoming day for alumni to reunite in SCUT with celebrations.
