The workshop is sponsored by the SCUT-CUHK Joint Research Center for Automation Science & Engineering, and co-sponsored by the Control & Optimization Center, SCUT, Department of Mechanical Engineering & Automation, CUHK, and the Graduate School, SCUT. About three hundred experts and postgraduates attended the workshop. Four academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Lu Qiang from Tsinghua Univ., Prof. Chen Hanfu and Prof. Guo Lei from the Academy of Math. & Systems Science, and Prof. Huang Lin from Peking Univ., delivered key-note speeches. Three known scholars from the Academy of Math. & Systems Science, Prof. Zhang Jifeng, Prof. Hong Yiguang, and Prof. Cheng Daizhan, presented their latest research achievements. During the workshop, the experts also shared their experience in research and teaching with the attendees.
