Biography
Jiaxiang Luo, femail, achieved her doctoral degree in System Engineering in Mar. 2007 and then joined the College of Automation Science and Engineering of South China University of Technology. She was promoted to be an associate professor in Jan. 2011. She is an academic visitor in Operations and Management Department of Loughborough University in UK from Mar. 2011 to Mar. 2012.
Her main research interests focus on the production planning and scheduling in industry, the optimization in automation production and machine operation, integer and combinational optimization, and intelligent optimization methods. Part of her research work has been supported by National Natural Science Youth Foundation of China, Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education of China etc.
Around the research field of system optimization and scheduling, she has published or accepted more than 20 papers in international journals and conferences such as JIM, IJAMT etc.
Research Interests
Dr Luo’s expertise areas are focus on optimization theory and application. In particular, her current research works focus on:
1.Production planning and scheduling
2.Integer and combinational optimization
3.Combinational optimization approach and techniques
