Dr. Wenxiong Kang is an Associate Professor in the Laboratory of Biometrics and Image Processing, School of Automation Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology,he is a member of IEEE, ACM, CCF and CAAI. He received his master's and Ph.D. degree from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU) in 2003 and from South China University of Technology (SCUT) in 2009. During September 2009 to June 2010, he had been a visiting scholar in the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering of ETH Zurich (in Switzerland). His research interests include Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Image Processing and Biometrics.
Scientific research:
Dr. Wenxiong Kang has published more than 40 papers in the international journals and conferences, including reputable international journals such as《IEEE Transactions on Image Processing》,《IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics & Security》,《IEEE Transactions on Multimedia》,《IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems》,《Computer Vision and Image Understanding》,《Pattern Recognition Letters》,《Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation》,《Neurocomputing》,《PLOS ONE》, and important domestic and international conferences like CCBR,ISBA and ICCV. He is an editor of one book, an inventor of seven inventive patents and the holder of two Software copyright.
