Zujin Zhao received his B.S. degree in 2003 and Ph.D. degree in 2008 in chemistry from Zhejiang University. In 2008–2010, he conducted his postdoctoral work under supervision of Prof. Ben Zhong Tang at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Now, he is a full professor at South China University of Technology. His researches are mainly focused on the development of functional organic materials, and the exploration of their applications in organic light-emitting diodes, molecular devices, and biological diagnosis and therapy. He has published more than 400 peer-reviewed SCI papers in Nat. Commun., Sci. Adv., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Adv. Sci., Adv. Funct. Mater., ACS Nano, etc., with more than 19000 citations and a h-index of 75. In 2018–2020, he was ranked as a highly-cited scientist by ESI. In 2018, he became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. In 2019, he was supported by the national support plans for the top of the notch youth talents. In 2014, he obtained the financial support by Guangdong Natural Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar. In 2018, he joined NSFC basic scientific center project (Luminescence from Molecular Aggregates) as a key member (total 10 members).
