报告人简介：
Ir. Dr. Tan Chou Yong, a Professor, is currently serving as Director of Centre of Industry Relations at the University of Malaya. A PhD graduate from University of Malaya in 2008, he is also a Senior Teaching Fellow for South China University of Technology, China. He specialises in teaching Engineering Thermodynamics, Engineering Materials, Statics & Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Composite Materials, Ceramics Materials and Materials Selection & Design. His research interests include nanomaterials, bioceramics and fuel cells technology materials. To date, he has published more than 130 publications. Recently, he has secured a grant amounting more than USD 1 million as Project Leader from Samsung Electronics, Korea under the UM-Samsung Technology Track Program, a dedicated initiative aimed at enhancing workforce development specifically tailored for the semiconductor manufacturing industry. In addition, Ir. Dr. Tan as also won more than 30 awards at numerous international/national exhibitions pertaining to his research work. He is a Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council UK and is a Corporate Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), UK. He is also a Professional Engineer under the Board of Engineers, Malaysia and is a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM, Malaysia).
