Role and Importance of Heat Utilization Systems for Establishing a Decarbonized Society

There is a big concern about climate change caused by greenhouse gases. In order to realize a decarbonized society to prevent climate change, it is essential to decarbonize electricity and promote energy conservation through effective heat utilization.

In the presentation, I will give an overview of heat utilization technologies, such as heat storage, heat transportation, and heat pumps using temperature change, phase change, adsorption phenomena, and chemical reactions. Moreover, I’ll talk about research trends in these technologies being conducted in Japan and around the world.
