Brief Biography

He is a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at South China University of Technology (SCUT), Guangzhou, China. Since receiving his Ph.D. from the South China University of Technology in 2008, he has worked as a faculty at SCUT.  From March 2016 to March 2017 he was a visiting scholar at the University of California, San Diego. His current research interests include machine learning algorithms, data mining methodologies, neural networks theories, and their applications. He is also a Member of ACM, IEEE, CAAI, and a Senior Member of CCF. Currently, he serves as a member of the program committee in NeurIPS, IJCAI, AAAI, ACL and a reviewer of IEEE TPAMI, IEEE TNNLS, IEEE T-CYB, Machine Learning, Information Sciences, and so forth.


Research Interests:

Machine Learning Algorithms, Data Mining Methodologies, Neural Networks Theories, and their applications.
