Professor Yi Xiang from our university was awarded funding for a Key Project, while Professor Chen Rongsheng and Associate Professor Xu Jinxu secured funding for General Projects. Associate Professors Qin Pei and Zhou Taojie were granted funding for the Young Scientists Fund. The success rates for the Young Scientists Fund, General Projects, and overall projects reached 33%, 50%, and over 40%, respectively. In total, the approved funding for the projects amounted to 3.78 million RMB. This marks a historic high in both the number of applications and the granted funds for our university's National Natural Science Foundation projects.
The National Natural Science Foundation, as one of the primary channels for national support of basic research, is widely regarded as a crucial indicator of a nation's research strength and original innovation. The School of Microelectronics places great emphasis on the application for the National Natural Science Foundation, and with the leadership and support of the university, encourages young faculty members to actively submit proposals for national-level projects. Through initiatives such as dean's mobilization meetings, multiple rounds of experience-sharing sessions on National Natural Science Foundation applications, and the invitation of seasoned experts from the university to conduct specialized workshops imparting application expertise, the quality of the School of Microelectronics' project proposals has significantly improved.
The School of Microelectronics has consistently upheld a balanced approach to teaching and research, attracting outstanding talents and steadily expanding its teaching and research teams. At this celebratory moment, heartfelt congratulations are extended to all the teachers who have secured funding! Gratitude is expressed to all faculty members and researchers for their diligent efforts. Looking ahead, the School of Microelectronics will continue to work diligently, march forward with determination, uphold the spirit of hard work, scale the peaks of technology, and contribute unremitting efforts to the development of the microelectronics discipline and the chip industry. We aim to make continuous contributions to national scientific and technological progress and prosperity!
