Education Planning Of the Undergraduate Program in Applied Physics
time: 2015-07-03

Prospective Physics Majors:
The Department of Physics offers a program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Physics, giving students the opportunity to tailor their study of physics to their individual career goals. Educational activities aim to develop capacities in fundamental theories and methods in physics, mathematical skills, proficiency in English application, and basic experimental techniques. Course set-up also covers knowledge and training in electronic technology, computer science, and optoelectronics. Graduates following the program prospectively have competence in the career fields of physics, information and communication technology, aeronautics and astronautics, energy resources investigation, computer technology and application, optoelectronic technology, automation. Qualifications for graduate education are also the aim of the program.

Teaching Pattern:
Following the spirit of “on top of a solid foundation of knowledge in science strengthening specialized-course education in electronic technology or modern optics and optoelectronics”, the Department of Physics aims to cultivate qualities of both a scientist and an engineer in students.
Diplomas and Degrees: Eligible graduates of the undergraduate program shall be awarded with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.).

Main Subjects:
Fundamentals of Physics, Theoretical Mechanics, Electrodynamics, Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Experiments in Modern Physics, Senor-Level Computer Programming (C++), Analog Electronics Technology, Digital Electronics Technology, Solid State Physics, Computational Physics, Signal Processing and Linear Systems.
