Dr. Xiuren Lei is Associate Professor of School of Sciences at South China University of Technology. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics from Fudan University in 1985 and in 1988 respectively. He joined South China University of Technology in 1988. He pursued his further studies at SCUT and received his Ph.D. degree in Electric Power Engineering in 2006.
Dr. Lei’s researches focus on scientific and engineering computation, including numerical algebra, parallel algorithms and mathematical models and algorithms of system-reliability analysis. He turns his research interest to quantum algorithms recently.
Dr. Lei has been the member of the Chinese Mathematical Society and the Chinese Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics. He has been invited as the reviewer of International Journal of Systems Science, Journal of South China University of Technology (Natural Science Edition) and so on.
