The result of a selection named 60 best books for English education in 60 years was declared in Beijing recently, which included many books that had contributed a lot to English education reach. To our honor, The Series Of New Century English Textbook For College edited by professor Qin Xiubai from the south china university of technology, was selected. The nomination added another honor to our school since the best textbooks in 2008.

   The selection was held by 21st century English education weeklyowned by China Daily Newspaper Office and a network station called 21stEnglish(www.i21st.cn)， aiming to show the development of English education prints in 60 years and respect to those who worked in this field from bottom of our hearts.The authority was made sure by several experienced scholars.

   The selection was made with strict standards as follows:it should be such a classical and popular book that it plays an important part both in English teaching and researching, marks a significant breakthrough in China’s foreign language teaching and earns a reputation by its excellent quality.(by Bella Hsu)
