浏览次数:13On December 3rd, the final of the "Top Ten Campus Class Collectives" selection for the 2022-2023 academic year of South China University of Technology was held at the University City campus. Our 2021 Information Engineering Class 4 (hereinafter referred to as Class 21 Information Engineering Class 4) has been awarded the title of "Top Ten Campus Class Collective", which is the sixth class collective in our college to receive this title since 2018.
The theme of this selection activity is "Strong Country with Me, Youthful and Promising". After class application, college recommendation, school review, preliminary competition display and other stages, a total of 16 classes collectively made it to the final evaluation site. In the end, our 21st grade Information Engineering Class 4 was awarded the honorary title of "Top Ten Campus Class Collectives" for its excellent performance and perfect on-site display over the past three years.
Class 4 of the 21st grade of Information Technology is composed of 45 students. Under the leadership of their homeroom teacher Cao Tianyi and counselor Li Baolu, they have always adhered to the academic atmosphere of "chasing dreams and chasing electricity, spreading the torch of faith", and are full of fighting spirit and striving to be the first. In the past two years, the class has won the school level "Advanced Class Collective" twice, the first place in the "Dream Branch, Pioneer Collective" style exhibition once, and the runner up in the college "Chuming Cup" debate competition once.
terms of academic performance, Class 4 of the 21st Class of Information Science and Engineering is down-to-earth and enterprising, rigorous in academic governance, and has won 4 national scholarships, 18 school awards and enterprise awards, 11 school level "Three Good Students" awards, a total of 23 school level personal honors, and 29 college level personal honors, pursuing excellence and building a strong reputation.
In terms of scientific research and academia, Class 4 of the 21st Class of Information Technology has demonstrated a spirit of daring to challenge oneself. Classmates actively participate in scientific research projects, with a participation rate of 100% in scientific research competitions. They have won 6 international level awards, 9 national level awards, and 42 provincial-level school level awards, covering fields such as artificial intelligence, 6G technology, underwater communication, smart healthcare, and chip design. Among them, Hong Yongqi's entrepreneurial project in the field of smart health has settled in the Intelligent System Innovation Base of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area National Technology Innovation Center.
In terms of social practice, Class 4 of the 21st level Information and Engineering Department is devoted to the Party, cares about the country, and serves society wholeheartedly. More than half of the students in the class have become party members or active members of the party. Over the past three years, the class has carried out a total of 24 party and youth activities, consolidating its theoretical foundation. Classmates actively participate in social service activities, with an average volunteer time of 43 hours per person and a cumulative time of 1927 hours, which is 1.4 times the graduation requirement.
In the more than 60 years of struggle at the School of Telecommunications, generations of passionate youth have accumulated excellent campus culture. Winning the honor of "Top Ten Campus Class Collectives" this time is not only a recognition and encouragement for all students in Class 4 of the 21st Class of Information and Engineering, but also a continuation and promotion of the excellent academic atmosphere of the college. Class 4 of the 21st level Information and Engineering Department will take this opportunity to continue maintaining an excellent learning state and a positive and upward spirit, playing a role as an example, and also devote themselves to scientific research, social practice, and volunteer service with more enthusiasm and firm beliefs, contributing their own strength to the development of the school and society.
