Award scene
A total of 2150 papers are submitted and 1748 papers are included in the conference. A total of 149 papers are submitted to the IWS 2023 Student Essay Competition, and 22 papers are nominated for the final.Multiple internationally renowned experts formed a review committee and scored based on technological innovation, potential influence and clarity of expression through poster and on-site presentation. At last, 6 best student papers are selected.Among them, Xianhui He, a doctoral student from the team of millimeter wave and terahertz technology of the School of Electronics and Information Technology, South China University of Technology (instructors: Wenquan Che, Wanchen Yang, Quan Xue), won the best student thesis award at the 2023 International Wireless Annual Conference (IEEE IWS2023) for his outstanding performance.
Certificate of the best student paper award
The award-winning paper A 140GHz LTCC-based High-efficiency Heterogeneous Reflectarray Antenna focuses on the problem of severe electromagnetic wave transmission loss in terahertz band and high dependence of terahertz antenna on machining accuracy, and proposesa novel design method of heterogeneous reflector array antenna based on equivalent medium analysis. It realizing high efficiency and high gain terahertz reflection array antennas, providing valuable technical solutions for future terahertz communication/radar applications.
It is worth mentioning that this is the third consecutive year that the team of millimeter wave and terahertz technology has won the best student paper award in the IWS student paper competition, achieving three consecutive championships, which fully demonstrates the outstanding academic influence of South China University of Technology in the field of electromagnetic field and microwave technology.
