From November 13th to 14th，the evaluation of Guangdong Division of 2021 National College Students Electronic Design Competition of TI Cup was held in our school from November 13 to 14.This competition was hosted by the Organizing Committee of the National College Students Electronic Design Competition and undertaken by South China University of Technology.Cong Xiang, Director of the School's Academic Affairs Office, Xiangmin Xu, Secretary-General of the Competition Organizing Committee, Quan Xue, Dean of the School of Electronics and Information, Jian Zhang, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Guiping Jin, Deputy Dean, and Expert Group Leader Ruixiang Yin attended the opening ceremony and other related activities.

For the first time, the evaluation meeting in Guangdong division adopted the mode of online demonstration by the participating teams and centralized offline evaluation by the expert group.The evaluation expert group was composed of more than 60 experts in the field of electronic information in Guangdong province.The number of participants in this competition had reached a new level.Compared with the 1,000 teams in 2020, a total of 1,227 teams from 69 colleges and universities in the province participated this year, with more than 4,000 teachers and students involved.There were 428 teams that won awards in this competition, of which 78 teams won the first prize, and the first prize winners will participate in the national assessment later.

The National College Students Electronic Design Competition began in 1994 and has been successfully held for 14 sessions.It has developed into the longest-lasting, largest-scale, and most influential subject competition for majors of electronic information.It has a positive impact on cultivating the scientific and technological innovation ability and engineering practice quality of China’s electronic information talents.It is also of great significance to promote the reform of education and teaching of this subject, meanwhile providing a high-level competition and exchange platform for college students.
