To further promote the implementation of scientific research work in our school and strengthen the development of Integration of Medicine and Industry, on the afternoon of September 1st , our school invited five people to a scientific research and academic exchange meeting, including Xianqiong Luo, Section Chief of Science and Education Department of Maternal and Child Health Hospital in Guangdong Province, Chuan Nie,Director of neonatology, Director Jianbing Ren, and Zhijiang Liang, Deputy Director of the Institute of Women and Children’s Health, etc., and discussed in detail on scientific research cooperation matters. Deputy Dean Xiuyin Zhang and other teachers related attended this meeting.

At the meeting, Section Chief Xianqiong Luo introduced the scientific research situation of the Maternal and Child Health Hospital first, and then he said that the purpose of building an interdisciplinary scientific research cooperation team is to complement each other's advantages, promote the integration of high-quality scientific research resources of the two units, and better serve patients through integrating advanced artificial intelligence technology with clinical scientific research innovation and application.Then, Deputy Dean Xiuyin Zhang introduced the development and scientific research trends of our school. He said that out school attaches great importance to the combination of cutting-edge technology research and industrial application, and he looks forward to cooperating with the scientific research teams of various disciplines of the Maternal and Child Health Hospital to integrate medicine and industry so that they can better serve local technological development.
Subsequently, Director Chuan Nie of the Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital analyzed the advantages and cooperation ideas of each other. Associate Professor Xin Zhang, Weining Wang, and Cui Yang from our school reported their research results respectively.After that, professors, doctors and other scientific researchers actively exchanged opinions on the cooperation intentions in their respective fields.
After the meeting, under their coordination and liaison, both parties formed the intention of cooperating to establish a research team on five research directions including mobile AI monitoring of neonatal brain development, automated ultrasound scanning,intelligent medical image processing and recognition of gynecological tumor pathology,children's language behavior development recognition, and multimedia intelligent processing of medical image,providing new impetus to further promote the in-depth development of scientific research and innovation
