HE Chenci (1918-1994) got his BA from the Department of Building Engineering, Sun Yat-Sen University in 1946. He had brought up a group of well-known scholars including Mr.Han baode. He has authored one book, Problems on Heritage Of Chinese Architecture. He is translator of the Chinese version of a famous book, Modern Architectural History written by Kenneth Franpton. He had a fruitful achievement on architectural works, and No. 3 Restaurant of National Cheng Kung University (1958) is one of his masterpieces. All his works are dedicated to the integration of Chinese characteristics and modernity.
