On the afternoon of September 16, 2011 undergraduate students’ opening ceremony of School of Architecture, was held at the of multimedia classrooms in Building 27. He Jingtang, Dean of School of Architecture, Lian Weijie, Party Secretary, Sun Yimin, vice President,  as well as other leaders and teachers attended the opening ceremony. 2011 new students came early, eagerly awaiting for the arrival of leaders and teachers. When Academy He entered the hall, the audience broke into enthusiastic applause.
 Secretary Luo Lihong presided over the ceremony. After she introduced the participating leaders, Academy He delivered a welcoming speech. He first expressed to the 2011 new students a warm welcome, followed by a brief introduction about School of Architecture, including its history and rigorous, pragmatic and innovative tradition. Finally he encouraged students to study hard, be creative and develop good moral character and team spirit, hoping the students of School of Architecture could lead a enjoyable and fulfilling life. Then Tang Liming, on behalf of all teachers, delivered a speech. He reminded the students to pay great attention to theoretical courses, emphasizing that good idea was based on solid theoretical basis. Teachers’ humorous speeches made students feel at home.
Li Yuanjie, senior hospital representative, on behalf of older students welcomed the arrival of new students. He encouraged the students to learn a wide range of knowledge, develop the habit of independent thinking, in particular, develop their own sense of social responsibility, and become a socially beneficial architect. At the end of the ceremony, Luo Danni, 2011 new students representative, generously expressed their determination to struggle for the dream.
The brief and warm ceremony ended. Dean He Jingtang walked smiling and waving to students. They pulled out cameras to capture to this master’s moments.Thus, the opening ceremony of School of Architecture for 2011 undergraduate concluded.
