Head of the Laboratory, Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Kumamoto University. Research field: Architectural/environmental acoustics and community response to noise. Editor of the Journal of Temporal Design in Architecture and the Environment; Member of the Architectural Institute of Japan; Member of the Acoustical Society of Japan; Japanese Representative of Team 6 (Community response to noise) of the International Commission on Biological Effects of Noise. Published over 77 papers in the past 3 years.
