RESERACH SUMMARY
Much of Dr. Fang’s work has concentrated on cities and regions in the Pearl River Delta Area in South China. Combined with the research programmes and project practices, Dr. Fang has taken out the preliminary exploration and consideration about the inheritance and reappearance of regional characteristic and geographical culture. Meanwhile, Dr. Fang has focused on climate adaptable design strategies in subtropical region in recent years.

Being a project leader, Dr. Fang accomplished the project of National Natural Science Foundation of China (No:50908087) . As the primary investigator, Dr. Fang also completed the other two research programmes supported by the State Key Lab of Subtropical Building Science and the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. Dr. Fang has participated in 5 other national or provincial research projects as a key research member. Currently Dr. Fang is in charge of 2 projects still in research. Dr. Fang has published more than 20 academic papers, 10 among which have been indexed by EI or ISTP.

Served as Director of Project Management, Dr. Fang has experienced in managing complex architectural and constructional projects for 13 years. As an architect and urban planner, Dr. Fang gained professional skills from practicing in public, educational buildings and landscape designs.
