Yuting Liu is Professor in the Department of Planning, School of Architecture, State key Laboratory of Subtropical Building Science, South China University of Technology
China. His research interests focus on urban and regional planning, urban poverty and marginalization, housing and urban low income neighbourhoods. He has published articles on international peer-reviewed journals, such as Habitat International, Urban Geography, Journal of Urban Affairs, Geoforum, Social Administration and Policy, and many Chinese Academic Journals. He is also the author of China’s New Urban Poverty and its spatiality (China Science Press, 2005) and co-author of China’s Urban poverty (Edward Elgar, 2010). He has led and been involved in several research projects on China’s urban poverty and marginalization.
