In November 11, 2016, the Guangdong provincial development and Reform Commission forwarded the State Development and Reform Commission on the construction of National Engineering Laboratory of VOCs Pollution Control Technology and Equipment complex (high-tech development and Reform Office No. 2218), officially approved by the National Engineering Laboratory of VOCs Pollution Control Technology and Equipment Construction project.
In view of the current situation of China's independent innovation ability is weak, VOCs governance infrastructure capacity, equipment operation reliability is low and the unreasonable industrial structure, in order to meet the needs of air pollution and environmental governance of industrial upgrading and development, South China University of Technology as the lead unit, a number of joint research units, and National Engineering Laboratory of VOCs Pollution Control Technology and Equipment. The laboratory is in charge of Professor Ye Daiqi, Dean of the school of environment and energy, South China University of Technology. The laboratory is the first National Engineering Laboratory led by South China University of Technology, and the only national engineering laboratory led by universities in Guangdong province.
The National Engineering Laboratory to improve independent innovation capability and core competitiveness as the goal, according to the VOCs control technique in our country is weak, key materials and equipment operation reliability, to carry out joint research strategic and forward-looking, relying on the development of typical scale enterprises, industrial park VOCs pollution control technology and overall solution advantages and basic solution development engineering and industrialization, the formation of VOCs, improve pollution control in our country overall technical equipment level, and promote the innovation and development of related industries, developed the embodiment of overall national strength and international competitiveness of the high-tech products and technical equipment, meet the needs of national economic development.
