To deepen industry-university-research collaborative innovation, precisely align with industrial technological demands, and consolidate the foundation of university-enterprise cooperation, on April 23, Zhang Jian and Cai Yi, together with relevant staff from the University’s Research Institute and faculty and student representatives of our school, paid a visit to Huawei for exchange activities. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on joint talent training and scientific research cooperation, consolidated consensus on cooperation, and jointly drew a blueprint for innovative development.

Su Jian, Minister of Huawei South China University System Department, expressed the hope that this exchange could precisely connect the academic research strengths of universities with the industrial needs of enterprises, and carry out in-depth cooperation in fields such as the optimization of basic AI algorithms.
Secretary Zhang Jian delivered a speech centered on three key words: gratitude, docking and empowerment. He thanked Huawei for its long-term strong support for the school’s teaching, scientific research and student employment. Meanwhile, he expected to empower the optimization and upgrading of Huawei’s products through targeted docking. He also hoped the exchange meeting would serve as a bridge for technical connection, a melting pot for idea collision, and a starting point for ecological co-construction.
Dean Cai Yi briefly introduced the school’s development overview, characteristics of talent training and scientific research progress, highlighting the high compatibility between the school’s research strength, innovative achievements and Huawei’s technological demands. Bao Kunchao, Cooperation Manager of Huawei South China University System Department, presided over the meeting.
During the technical exchange, Huawei technical experts introduced the cooperation demands of the company’s core businesses and pointed out the technical difficulties in the implementation of AI software. Targeting enterprise demands, participating teachers introduced their respective research fields, shared the latest scientific research achievements, and put forward targeted solutions to help the enterprise break through technical bottlenecks.
Featuring efficient communication and in-depth discussions, this exchange meeting reached further consensus on scientific research collaboration and talent cultivation, laying a solid foundation for in-depth cooperation between the two sides in the future.
