Xiang Yi, associate professor, doctoral supervisor and postdoctoral mentor. He has long been engaged in research work in the fields of intelligent software engineering, evolutionary computation, and machine learning, with a particular focus on the interdisciplinary direction of software engineering and artificial intelligence. To date, he has published more than 20 high-level academic papers as the first/ corresponding author. His landmark achievements have been published or accepted in flagship journals and conferences in the field of software engineering, including ACM Transactions on Software Engineering and Methodology (TOSEM, top journal in software engineering), IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering (TSE, top journal in software engineering), International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE, top conference in software engineering), Automated Software Engineering (ASE), Empirical Software Engineering (EMSE), and Journal of Software; and flagship journals in the fields of evolutionary computation or mathematics, including IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation (TEVC, evolutionary computation field), IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics (TCYB, evolutionary computation field), European Journal of Operational Research (EJOR, operations research field), and Computational Optimization and Applications (mathematics field). His research results in the interdisciplinary field of artificial intelligence/evolutionary computation and software engineering have received good reviews and attention from domestic and international peers. His representative works have been multiple times selected as ESI highly cited papers. Currently, he is leading multiple national and provincial-ministerial level scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project and the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation General Project.

Research Direction:Intelligent Software Engineering, Evolutionary Computation, Machine Learning. Particular attention is paid to the application research of artificial intelligence algorithms in the field of software engineering (AI for SE). We welcome candidates to join our research group to pursue a doctoral or master's degree (both academic and professional master's degrees are acceptable), and also welcome outstanding undergraduate students to join the laboratory for systematic scientific research training. At the same time, our research group is recruiting postdoctoral researchers on a long-term basis. We welcome like-minded and ambitious individuals to join our team to conduct high-level academic research together.
