On November 23, the Erudite Academic Forum - Industrial Software Key Technology Conference, jointly sponsored by the School of Software Engineering(SSE),South China University of Technology(SCUT) and the Key Laboratory of Big Data and Intelligent Robots of the Ministry of Education, was held in the B8 lecture hall.Nearly 100 people including Han Shuangyan, deputy director of the Institute of Science and Technology of SCUT, the leadership team of SSE, key teachers and graduate students attended this meeting.The conference invited Professor Wang Qinghui from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of SCUT, Dr. Xu Junjie from Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and Dr. Huang Weixian from Guangzhou Zhongwang Longteng Software Co., Ltd. to give special reports to discuss the latest research progress and future development trends in the field of industrial software.
Deputy director Han Shuangyan and Dean Cai Yi delivered speeches at the opening ceremony respectively.Deputy director Han Shuangyan introduced the relevant disciplines of SCUT, the importance of industrial software and the disciplinary advantages in developing industrial software of the university.Dean Cai Yi introduced the basic situation and discipline development plan of the SSE, emphasized the sense of responsibility and mission in the development of industrial software of SSE, and expressed that it will focus on investing in the field of industrial software and carrying out organized scientific research.
Professor Wang Qinghui, Dr. Xu Junjie, and Dr. Huang Zhongxian respectively made special reports on industrial software-related technologies such as CAM micro kernel-intelliCAM development and ecological application, CAE technology trends and Huawei cloud simulation products, and geometric issues of 3D modeling kernels.In the report, they gave an in-depth explanation of the application ecology, main functions, architecture design, core algorithms and application cases of related technologies in the industrial field, focusing on the latest progress of related technologies, and starting from the enterprise's demand for talents, pointed out the professional knowledge and abilities that students need to master.
After the meeting, the invited experts held a discussion with teachers of SSE and conducted a more in-depth discussion on industrial software-related research and future cooperation. The discussion was in a lively atmosphere and the participating teachers said they had gained a lot.
