In recent years, deep learning technology has been rapidly developed and widely used, especially in the fields of image classification, face recognition, speech recognition, machine translation, natural language understanding and chess and card games, and even surpassed human in some aspects. The success of deep learning is not only due to its use of a unified model to achieve distributed representation and decision analysis of data, which avoids excessive dependence on experience, but also due to that it can use a large training data set for learning. However, for medical image analysis, due to the difficulty of obtaining and labeling medical image data, the data sets that can be used to train the model are often limited. This report will take chest X-ray, chest CT image, retinal image, dermascopic image and pathological image analysis as an example to introduce the experience of the reporter in the application of deep learning technology for medical image small data analysis, including the use (1) Deep integration learning in parallel or series, (2) Deep learning combined with traditional methods, (3) Deep learning combined with prior knowledge of the field, (4) Deep adversarial learning, (5) Deep collaborative learning and (6) Deep attention learning, and he will also explore the opportunities and challenges of deep learning research on small images of medical images.
