
Prof. Chen Jian, doctoral/master's tutor, mainly focuses on big data analysis, machine learning, social network analysis, intelligent information retrieval and personalized recommendation. She is a member of Technical Committee on Databases of China Computer Federation, member and secretary-general of Database Committee of Guangdong Computer Federation, member of the Technical Committee on Computational Intelligence of the Guangdong Computer Federation, member of Technical Committee on Big Data of the Guangdong Computer Federation. And she was selected as Science and Technology Innovation Talents of “Guangdong Special Support Project” in 2016. In the past five years, she has been published more than 50 papers in major domestic and international journals and conferences such as IEEE TKDE, IEEE TPDS, JMLR, AAAI, ICDE, including more than 30 of CCF A categories and more than 40 recorded by SCI/EI/ISTP. Moreover, she has published 4 translations, 1 editor-in-chief series, and gained 3 invention patents and 18 software copyrights. She has presided over the research work of more than 10 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission and Guangzhou Science and Technology Projects.
