Jinhui Zhu received B.S. M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from South China University of Technology in 1999, 2002 and 2010 respectively. He is currently an associate professor of the School of Software Engineering at South China University of Technology.

His research interests are intelligent Robot, software Architecture, and embedded software. He has developmented several robots in the past 10 years. Some autonomous mobile robots were designed for multi-agent research and robot soccer competition. And a bio-robot robot named HanHan was designed for education and entertainment. Particularly, he is currently interested in robot cloud computing and intelligent control of self-balanced robots only with two wheels. His research has been supported by the Science and Technology Planning Project of Guangdong Province, the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities (SCUT) , and some enterprises, etc.

He has published more than 10 research papers in journals and conferences. He has applied for 2 patents of invention and obtained 5 authorizations of software copyright. He is one of leaders of the robot competition team ( SC100steps), which has attended a lot of international / national robot competitions and won more than 3 championships.
