As we all know, Earth Hour started in Australia with millions of families and businesses turning their lights off for one hour. And now, people all over the world are joining in this campaign to show their concern about global warming. SMAE also actively joined in this event.
The university had all lights off since 8:30 that evening for one hour, shew the film "The Road" and held a running inner activitiy. The radio station also conducted live interviews in SCUT, which was greatly welcomed by the students who all actively answered questions asked by the journalist. All the students believe that Earth Hour is a global call for action from every individual, every business and every community. It's also a call for us to take responsibility and work for these global concerns.
It is very meaningful to have such a campaign. Earth Hour is exactly a message of hope and a message of action. Everyone can make an effort.
