Voluteer Work on International Labour Day
time: 2015-07-20

On May 1st, giving up their time for relaxation, members of "Green Leaf" Young Volunteers Service Team from SMAE came to the provincial bus station and offered their volunteer service to people.
Almost at 7 a.m., the provincial bus station was already in huge crowds, but still orderly. It was because there was a group of special people each in one yellow ribbon with the words "Provincial Station Welcomes You", holding signs--they were "green leaf" Youth Volunteer Service Team. You can see them everywhere: MTR exit&entrance, elevator, tickets office, bus station and so on. You could see them showing the way for strangers, maintaining order, answering questions from passengers, offering help to people with lots of luggage, etc.
At noon , in the waiting room, a moving scene took place. A volunteer met a mother in trouble. The mother was in the queue to aboard the bus with her child, but the child was crying for food. She wanted to buy, but the bus was about to leave, the mother was really in a dilemma. On seeing this, the volunteer immediately went out and soon bought some food for the mother. The mother was so excited and grateful for our volunteer.
The volunteer worked until after 4 p.m., though tired, they were happy.  Most volunteers said that they planed to dedicate the rest of their vocation to give convenience to the passengers and offer their help to the public!
